We took Route 66 from Missouri to Santa Monica Pier in California.

We started in Missouri because we had already done the Illinois Route 66 the year before.

I enjoyed seeing all the Muffler men and the stop in Galena, Kansas was great.

The Curious Gearhead had the funniest bathroom with all of it made out of car parts! definitely recommend a stop there.

I also enjoyed Oatman, Arizona where the donkeys roam free.  So much history to take in throughout route 66.

Getting to complete something I’ve always wanted to do and doing it with my family was great!

We took tons of pictures and made a scrapbook.

Many of the museums were handicap accessible but some of the older towns were not.

Many of the hotel rooms didn’t have enough outlets for my equipment.

I ran out of oxygen, fractured my foot,
and deflated my catheter.
These were big challenges, but I handled
it all!

We are extremely grateful to Team Gleason for making it possible for us to go on this trip.

Having ALS makes you want to stay home where it’s safe, but it is so worth it to get out.

Never stop enjoying the adventure!
