Many thanks to Team Gleason for organizing our adventure to Rocky Mountain National Park.
We have always been an adventurous couple and prior to Scott’s ALS diagnosis we always enjoyed getting outdoors. We used to regularly hike, ski, and rock climb.
We were able to get the opportunity through this trip to get back into nature and do some adventurous activities.

We spent 3 days in Snowmass, CO exploring the area. With the help of Challenge Aspen, we did a half-day whitewater rafting on the Colorado River. This was our favorite part of the trip. The trip organizers made sure that it was accessible for Scott, and he had a person with him at all times to help him get in and out of the raft. The guides were also incredible and accommodating. It was beautiful and we were able to experience some thrills.

The next day we took a jeep tour up the back side of Aspen Mountain.
Our knowledgeable guide took us to some amazing views and taught us about the history of the area.

“Although we can’t climb mountains like we used to, it allowed us to get to experience being at the top of a mountain again”
We are grateful for this incredible experience and would recommend this trip to any outdoor enthusiasts!
