John has always been a Lost Boys fan and wanted to visit the boardwalk for all history with it.
When we got engaged last year, I said that should be our honeymoon. A month later we got the official ALS diagnosis.
We moved up our wedding, so a honeymoon and Santa Cruz were put on hold.
We were able to ride a few rides, have a photo session, view the beach, a tree tour, and lots of wandering.
Our favorite part of the Adventure was hanging out on the Boardwalk and tying in all the pieces from the movie and just being together. Such a cool experience.
Being able to view the boardwalk and the beach
and just breathe is what we needed.
Riding the skyline together was the
most memorable part of our Adventure!
Also, knowing it may be the last ride
he gets on was a moment to take in.
It was a dream come true!
We are doing our best to live while he is here and do all the things, but it is getting harder on both of us.
