We took our family to Destin, Florida.
We rented a house very close to the beach and enjoyed spending quality time as a family.
This trip was all about spending quality time together as a family at our favorite place (the beach)!
The most cherished part of our trip was being able to have Jerry (Dad/Popo) riding around on the sand right next to the beach with his grand babies.
The most memorable part was watching the whole family swimming, playing and enjoying each other on the beach.
Jerry being able to be right beside the whole family (aside from the actual water) was the best part. He didn’t have to watch from a distance; he was able to use a wheelchair designed specifically for the sand to enjoy that time with the family.
This Adventure meant everything to us. This was the last trip we were able to take as a whole family, and it was by far the best! Thank you!
The only challenges we faced with our Adventure were finding a house to rent that met our needs and the challenges of ALS symptoms Jerry was facing.
ALS symptoms made it hard for Jerry to even lift up his leg for the threshold into the house, as well as the walk-in shower, and needing grab bars in restroom.
