Our Team Gleason Adventure was amazing. Though we go to Jazz Fest every year, this year Team Gleason gifted us with Brass Passes, giving us access to multiple days and special perks. Of the shows we saw, my top two this year were Mumford and Sons and Trombone Shorty and Orleans Ave, which might have been the greatest show I have ever seen. When Shorty invited Jon Batiste out to share the stage with him, it was nothing short of pure magic and soul.

Of course, as per usual, Jazz Fest was hot AF, but our team and the other festers were amazing in helping me stay cool with ice packs, fans, and umbrellas. I would say the only other challenge I personally experienced was not being able to eat the incredible food. However, with the crawfish bread vendor pulling out this year, it was a bit more bearable for me.
We are grateful to the Team Gleason Adventure program for this opportunity.

Special thanks to WWOZ and the Jazz and Heritage Festival for donating Gala Passes and Brass Passes to take Brian’s Adventure to the next level.
