The adventure was amazing, honestly. Lots of driving, but that was actually my favorite part.
Seeing parts of the country and the planet I had never experienced before was priceless!
The Sphere and Yosemite National Park were the icing on the cake.
The day at Yosemite was long because the hotel was about a two-hour drive from the park, and it rained for the majority of our visit. So, the majority of the sights were enjoyed from the vehicle, but they were just as majestic and beautiful. We took as many pictures as possible, weather permitting.
Two days in Vegas, where we did Postcard from Earth at the Sphere.
Next, two days in Sonora, California, for Yosemite National Park.
Next was three days in Lake Tahoe, and one night in Reno.
Then, heading back, we stayed in a motel in the middle of Death Valley, which was very unique.
Lastly, we returned through Vegas and watched The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere, which wasn’t out the weekend before and was what I wanted to see all along. Amazing!
It was definitely an adventure. Just picture the National Lampoon Vacation movie, switch the characters for two Mexican gay guys, one completely disabled, using a device that he is balancing on his knees on the curviest roads in America.
Two older Mexican ladies, one smoking at every damn stop, and one preaching the word of God, and the most bougie Goldendoodle, who only sits on car seats and only eats fresh-cooked meat. You have no idea what an adventure you helped fund…
But we enjoyed the most technologically advanced spectacle in the world, right now, twice at the Sphere.
Both were amazing, but watching my favorite movie of all time, The Wizard of Oz, feeling the wind from the tornado, catching an apple from the trees, drone monkeys hovering over my head…
Simply a dream come true!
Yosemite National Park was breathtaking: the waterfalls, the giant rocks, thousand-year-old sequoia trees, and giant pine cones.
We finally saw bears in the wild. Mom and baby bear. The vistas were postcards from heaven.
Next, we just relaxed in a ski chalet surrounded by forest, next to a creek overlooking Lake Tahoe. Lake Cuomo and Tahoe are identically gorgeous.
Then Reno, Nevada, the small town full of old casinos from the movie Sister Act. Very cute.
The drive from Reno back to Vegas, full of giant lakes and the small desert town through Death Valley, full of donkeys and wild horses, was the cherry on top of this adventure!
We drove over 2,000 miles of pure natural beauty.
