The day after we got back to Black Rock.. Jilly and Pops arrived!
Ryan Durgan picked them up.
Excited to see Rivers.
We got dressed like a couple of nerds wearing our matching outfits and head to Canada!
Rivers spent the weekend with Grandma Gail at WSU. He met lots of staff and students – his favorite.. the volleyball team:)
On our way out, we stopped at a drive through coffee shop. We don’t have these in Nola.
Crossing the border:
My dad pointed to a “unisex” bathroom for me – but as i walked out past a man i realized the “unisex” symbol was actually a “men’s” symbol.
Blair called the customs agent, “sweetheart.” First girl of the summer that didn’t like that term of endearment.
In fact, She said never to call her that again. Lucky for us it’s probably the only time we’ll see her.

7 long hours later – arrived in Banff.
Steve doing wheelchair tricks.
The beautiful Fairmont Banff Springs:
Rode to town to get sushi – but there was no wheelchair access. Lame.
Luckily there was a very accommodating sushi spot in the hotel.
No White Flags in Banff
Our favorite window with a view in the hotel.
S&M
Jill and Paul
Manny B and (to be determined…)
Steve’s favorite mountain, Castle Mountain
Steve making Blair break into a closed off area to set up a time lapse.
Had dinner at the hotel. Actually – it was delicious. We were all impressed.
Steve getting stuck while exploring.
We threw our shirts on one more time for a NWF pic.
Great trip. Although it was a nice break from the baby, we were all really excited to see Rivers.
