Jerry Toothman
Jerry lives just an hour and a half away from Pittsburgh but had never gotten the opportunity to get to a game. The timing, and life always seemed to get in the way.
Then, at 69, he reached out to Team Gleason and we were able to make a lifelong dream come true.
We were able to secure wheelchair accessible transportation that picked up Jerry from his hotel and dropped him off at the Stadium.
The stadium was great and was able to swap out his standard seats with ADA seats.
Jerry and his wife, Carol, were able to make a weekend out of this year’s Steelers versus Brown game.
They came in a day early to have their first trip away from home in years.
While hitting the town was a bonus, the main event was getting Jerry to the game.
“Everything was planned out perfect,” said Jerry. “From the motel room to the transportation to the stadium.”
As for his favorite part:
“Being able to go to the game and see my favorite team,” said Jerry, “Being at the stadium along with so many other people that like the Steeler. It means a lot to me because I was never able to go to a game due to work and transportation to the stadium.”
