ALS is an undeniably brutal disease. Mark reached out to Team Gleason to give his wife, Nancy, the amazing opportunity to go on the Monster Wall to see her beloved Red Sox. Unfortunately, Nancy passed away just a few weeks before the game. Her family went in her memory – and left a memento behind.

We had a wonderful pregame lunch at the Mighty Squirrel Brewery just steps from our parking garage. The Red Sox played a National League team San Diego Padres, and the pitcher was a knuckle baller which Nancy would have loved to see.

The Red Sox organization also put up a memorial tribute to Nancy on the Jumbotron Screen.

We also left her prayer card tucked inside the Green Monster wall never to be found.
Thank you, Team Gleason, for assisting with this adventure. It was bittersweet given Nancy’s passing.

God Bless the ALS Community and all who are afflicted with ALS may they be able to find peace and fortitude and faith along their journey.

Sincerely,

Nancy and Mark Powers Family
